The incident, which unfolded in Gweru’s Mkoba Village 14, has sent shockwaves through the community.

Reports indicate that Mkhandla, returning from an all-night church prayer, received a disturbing tip-off from neighbors about her husband’s illicit affair. Upon reaching home, she discovered her spouse, Tafadzwa Munyoro, and his paramour, Brightness Nancy Phiri, entangled on their matrimonial bed.

Midlands provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, confirmed the gruesome scene, recounting how Mkhandla, in a fit of rage, attempted to confront Phiri with a kitchen knife. Despite her husband’s intervention, she later resorted to a fatal assault, stabbing Phiri multiple times as she tried to flee.

Tragically, Phiri succumbed to her injuries shortly after collapsing on the street outside the residence. Police swiftly arrived at the scene, leading to Mkhandla’s arrest. The victim’s body was transported to Gweru Provincial Hospital, while Mkhandla now awaits legal proceedings in police custody.

This chilling episode serves as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of infidelity and the harrowing toll it can take on lives intertwined in marital turmoil.
