Certificate Forgery Allegations: WAEC Presents Governor Uzodimma’s Authentic Documents

Head of Administration at WAEC Headquarters, Omifenwa Tajudeen Tunbosu, presented the documents to the tribunal, confirming their authenticity. The first document provided was a CTC of Uzodimma Goodhope Odidika’s West African Examinations Council General Certificate of Education, dated June 1982. The second document was a CTC of Uzodimma Goodhope Odidika’s confirmation of the statement of result, initially sent by WAEC to the office of the Senate President in December 2014.

Tunbosu affirmed before the tribunal that Governor Hope Uzodimma is the rightful owner of the WAEC certificate and verified its authenticity.

The tribunal, presided over by Justice Oluyemi Akintan-Osadebay, accepted the documents as evidence.

These documents are crucial in resolving the dispute raised by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and their candidate Samuel Anyanwu regarding Uzodimma’s qualification for the Imo State governorship. The PDP has accused Uzodimma of forging his WAEC certificate.

With the presentation of these authentic documents, the tribunal moves closer to resolving the issues surrounding Governor Uzodimma’s qualification and the legitimacy of his victory in the gubernatorial election.
