Reports indicate that the assailants infiltrated the community under the cover of darkness, gaining entry through the hilly terrain connecting the area to Mpape, another locality within the FCT.

According to accounts from residents, the bandits descended upon a Mango tree in an area referred to as New Jerusalem in Dutse Makaranta around 8 pm on Saturday, instilling fear and chaos among the populace.

One resident, speaking anonymously, recounted the harrowing ordeal, revealing that the community remained on edge throughout the night, gripped by apprehension and uncertainty.

The targets of the abduction included one woman, three men, and two boys, one of whom, aged three, was discovered in the bush the following morning. The mother of the abducted boys endured further anguish as she suffered physical assault at the hands of the kidnappers.

Presently, the victim is undergoing medical treatment at a nearby hospital for injuries sustained during the traumatic attack. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting concerns for the safety and security of residents in the wake of such brazen criminal activity.
