Situated at the China General Chamber of Commerce along Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Road in the Federal Capital Territory, the supermarket is renowned for its offering of Chinese cuisine and beverages. However, access to the establishment is purportedly restricted solely to individuals of Chinese descent.

Expressing dismay over the discriminatory policy, a resident of the FCT recounted an encounter with security personnel at the supermarket, who explicitly stated that only Chinese nationals are permitted entry.

The incident has sparked widespread condemnation on social media platforms, with users expressing disbelief and frustration at the discriminatory treatment experienced by Nigerians.

Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Afam Osigwe, denounced the discriminatory action, likening it to racism and calling for urgent government intervention to investigate and address the issue.

While Nicholas Utsalo, Senior Public Relations Officer of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission, declined to comment, he assured the public of an impending investigation into the allegations.
