BREAKING: DSS Rescues Four Remaining Nasarawa Poly Students After Kidnap Ordeal

According to Ireporter Online, the rescue operation was carried out on Wednesday through an intelligence-driven mission by DSS personnel in the state, days after the agency secured the release of a professor from Nasarawa State University, Keffi, who was also kidnapped.

The rescued victims, comprising four male students and one female student, were reportedly freed without any ransom payment. During the operation, one suspected kidnapper was arrested, while other members of the criminal group were neutralised.

The students were abducted on June 3 from their off-campus residence in the Low-cost area of Kaura Namoda town after armed bandits reportedly invaded the hostel and took away six students.

The incident had sparked widespread concern among the students’ families, the institution’s management and residents of the area, prompting intensified efforts by security agencies to locate and rescue the victims.

Following the earlier release of two students, security operatives continued intelligence gathering and coordinated operations aimed at securing the freedom of those still in captivity.

The successful rescue mission has brought relief to the families of the victims and the Federal Polytechnic community, who had remained anxious since the abduction occurred. Authorities are expected to continue efforts aimed at tracking and dismantling criminal networks responsible for such attacks.
