Commandant Olatunde Maku, during a visit to Col. Mohammed Abubakar, Commander of the 302 Artillery Regiment Nigerian Army in Onitsha, highlighted the importance of collaboration between the NSCDC and the Army in protecting vital infrastructure.

Maku expressed appreciation for the Nigerian Army’s ongoing assistance in fulfilling the NSCDC’s mandate to safeguard national, state, and local government assets and infrastructure. He noted the Army’s contributions to training, joint operations, and combating various illegal activities such as oil bunkering, pipeline vandalism, and petroleum black market activities.

Emphasizing the significance of interagency collaboration, Maku stated that working together would help eliminate practices detrimental to economic growth and development in Anambra State.

In response, Col. Abubakar assured Maku of enhanced support, collaboration, and synergy between the NSCDC and the Nigerian Army. He emphasized the collective effort required to address security challenges effectively and underscored the importance of continuous collaboration between security agencies.

Abubakar reaffirmed the Nigerian Army’s commitment to assisting the NSCDC in fulfilling its duties in Anambra State and encouraged ongoing cooperation to send a strong message to criminal elements. He emphasized that both agencies shared the common goal of national security and urged Maku to reach out whenever additional support was needed.
