During the commissioning of a new Divisional office of the NSCDC in Ipee town, Oyun Local Government Area, Umar emphasized that security is a collective responsibility. He urged citizens to collaborate and promptly share information to effectively address security challenges and safeguard communities.

The commandant highlighted the recent surge in security issues in the state, which prompted the upgrade of the outpost to a full-fledged operational divisional office. This enhancement aims to bolster the command’s operational efficiency and mitigate potential threats to peace.

Umar commended the financial support from Olayiwola Oyebode, Deputy Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, and the unwavering commitment of Ipee community residents in facilitating the timely completion of the project.

He pledged relentless efforts to address security challenges within and around the Ipee community, striving to create a safer environment for all residents.

In response, Deputy Speaker Olayiwola Oyebode expressed gratitude to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his interventions in curbing crime in the state.

Oba Lawal Mufutau Adebayo Titiloye III, the Onipe of Ipee, also thanked the NSCDC for its dedicated efforts in ensuring community safety.

The commissioning of the new NSCDC divisional office signifies a proactive step towards enhancing security measures and fostering peace and stability in Kwara State.
