Benue State Govt To Reopen Schools Of Nursing
Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has announced plans to reopen nursing schools across the state, emphasizing the importance of safer medical practices and enhanced healthcare services. Governor Alia outlined several key initiatives aimed at improving healthcare infrastructure and education in the state. Among these initiatives is the upgrade of nursing schools to offer degree and higher institutional levels of education, allowing students to acquire advanced knowledge and skills in healthcare.
Additionally, the governor highlighted the reestablishment and modernization of community health organizations to support hospitals in delivering prompt medical services to communities across Benue State. He stressed the importance of making these institutions affordable and accessible to qualified citizens, with the aim of expanding access to healthcare education and services.
Expressing concern over the inadequacy of health facilities in the state, Governor Alia called for collaboration with health donors worldwide to revitalize the health sector in Benue State. He encouraged women in small-scale businesses and farmers to register with or form cooperatives to access government schemes aimed at supporting their livelihoods.
Governor Alia also underscored his administration’s commitment to promoting science and technology, particularly among youth in the Jechira axis. He announced plans for sponsorships in various training programs and practices to enhance youth engagement in scientific fields.
In addressing issues of insecurity, the governor reassured citizens of his administration’s dedication to maintaining peace and security in Benue State. He urged all citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities, emphasizing the collective responsibility of communities in safeguarding their well-being.
Governor Hyacinth Alia’s initiatives reflect a comprehensive approach to healthcare and education reform in Benue State, aiming to enhance medical services, promote youth empowerment, and ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens.
