Ondo Election Twist: Three Gubernatorial Candidates Drop Out, Endorse APC’s Aiyedatiwa

The candidates are Dr. Ajibola Falaye of the Accord Party, Hon. Jenyo Ataunko of the National Rescue Movement, and Olaide Ibrahim of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The endorsement was confirmed by Aiyedatiwa’s Chief Press Secretary, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, in a statement released in Akure. The three candidates visited the governor to publicly announce their support for his re-election bid.

Dr. Falaye, speaking on behalf of the group, praised Aiyedatiwa’s track record, emphasizing his inclusive governance, commitment to public service, and efforts to ensure security and peace in the state. He also highlighted the governor’s contributions to infrastructure development, noting that Aiyedatiwa’s administration has been actively working for the state’s progress.

Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the endorsement, appreciating the candidates for their statesmanship and support. He urged their followers to turn out in large numbers and vote for the APC in the upcoming election.

The endorsement comes just days before the election, with prominent political figures, including Benue Governor Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia and campaign Director General Hon. Abiola Makinde, present at the event.
