Breaking: Former NYSC Director General Snatched In Midnight Attack (More Details)

Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga (retd.), former Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has been kidnapped by armed bandits in Katsina State.

In the course of the attack, the bandits reportedly killed one person and abducted at least nine others, while looting homes and seizing valuables.

Eyewitnesses told The PUNCH that the assailants stormed the village around 12:30 a.m., firing shots wildly to create panic and deter resistance from the residents.

Attempts to get a statement from the Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, were unsuccessful. He replied via SMS, stating he “can’t talk now.”

Security forces are expected to initiate investigations and rescue efforts for those kidnapped.
