Former Kaduna LG Chair Rabo Backs Minister Amid Nonperformance Sack Calls

Rabo countered claims made by the former National Youth Coordinator of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU), Nasiru Jagaba, who had called for the minister’s removal. He argued that Jagaba’s assessment was not based on facts but mere opinions.
Citing a ministerial performance ranking conducted by Hadiza Usman, Special Assistant to the President on Coordinating Ministries, Rabo highlighted Lawal’s achievements in tackling deforestation, promoting renewable energy, and enforcing environmental protection laws.
He also noted that the minister has supported students from Kaduna State by sponsoring their tuition fees and has secured international funding for green projects.
Rabo insisted that criticism in governance is welcome, but Jagaba’s claims do not align with the Ministry of Environment’s progress in policy implementation and stakeholder engagement.
