171,922 Cleared To Vote In Ondo APC Primary, Committee Announces

Scheduled to take place across 203 wards in 18 local government areas, the primary will feature 16 aspirants, including the incumbent governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
After a meeting with stakeholders and aspirants in Akure on Friday night, the Secretary of the seven-man committee, Ovie Omo-Agege, confirmed that none of the aspirants had withdrawn or stepped down before the eve of the exercise.
Omo-Agege emphasized the committee’s readiness to conduct the primary using the direct mode in all 203 wards, urging aspirants to ensure peaceful conduct among their supporters for the party’s progress.
Assuring strict adherence to party guidelines and constitution, Omo-Agege pledged to oversee a transparent, fair, and credible election. Additionally, he highlighted the committee’s collaboration with security agencies to maintain law and order throughout the primary.
Governor Usman Adodo of Kogi leads the committee overseeing the process.
