The charges stem from various aviation ministry contracts awarded by Hadi Sirika to Enginos Nigeria Limited, owned by his younger brother, Abubakar. The trio is set to appear before Justice Belgore of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday.

In the fresh charges, the EFCC accuses Hadi Sirika of using his position as Minister of Aviation to unfairly benefit Enginos Nigeria Limited. The alleged actions, which include influencing contract awards to the company, contravene the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000.

Specifically, one count alleges that Hadi Sirika influenced the award of a contract for the construction of a terminal building at Katsina Airport to Enginos Nigeria Limited for the sum of N1,345,586,500. Another count involves the award of a contract for the establishment of a Fire Truck Maintenance and Refurbishment Centre at Katsina Airport for the sum of N3,811,497,685.
