2027: APC Chieftain Jibrin Sends Strong Warning To Opposition
The member representing Kiru/Bebeji Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will assert its political dominance over opposition parties in Kano State during the 2027 general elections.
Jibrin made the declaration while addressing APC leaders and polling-unit representatives from Kiru and Bebeji Local Government Areas at a special meeting held in Kofa as part of the party’s preparations for the forthcoming elections.
The lawmaker said the APC was determined to retain the presidency and secure all available elective positions in Kano State, insisting that the party would not concede any seat to its political opponents.
According to Ireporter Online, Jibrin urged party members to remain united and intensify grassroots mobilisation, stressing that the APC had the political structures and support base required to deliver victory across the state.
He declared that the party would demonstrate its strength during the 2027 elections and warned opposition parties not to underestimate the APC’s organisational capacity.
“In Kano, come the 2027 general elections, we are not going to surrender a single seat to them. I repeat, APC will not surrender a single seat to opposition parties,” Jibrin said.
He added that the coming election would provide an opportunity for the APC to demonstrate its political strength and prove its relevance in Kano.
The APC chieftain acknowledged that the party had faced internal challenges in the past but expressed optimism that efforts were underway to resolve the issues and strengthen unity ahead of the elections.
Jibrin identified President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Deputy Governor Murtala Sule Garo, former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, Deputy Senate President Barau I. Jibrin, former Governor Ibrahim Shekarau, Senator Kawu Sumaila and Senator Rufai Hanga, among other prominent figures, as key components of the party’s political structure in the state.
He noted that the involvement of the party’s leaders, alongside its National and State Assembly candidates, had further strengthened the APC’s preparations and mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 polls.
