23-Year-Old Woman Arrested For Burning Stepchildren’s Hands Over Plate Of Rice

The victims, seven-year-old Genesis Geoffrey and three-year-old Idadai Geoffrey, now have their hands bandaged due to the severe burns inflicted upon them.

According to SP Suleiman Nguroje, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Rachel deliberately caused severe physical harm to her stepchildren.

The incident, which transpired on Tuesday, May 14, involved calculated acts of cruelty and human rights violations inflicted by the stepmother on the children.

Nguroje explained that the children incurred the woman’s wrath after consuming their father’s food due to hunger. In retaliation, she tied their hands with a handkerchief and set fire to them, resulting in the severe injuries they sustained.
