Sanusi was sidelined from the Super Eagles’ semi-final victory over South Africa due to a minor hamstring issue.

However, the 26-year-old participated in training with his teammates on Friday.

“Zaidu trained with the team yesterday. We have another session later, where we’ll assess his readiness to play,” Peseiro informed reporters on Saturday.

Sanusi has represented Nigeria in five matches during the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

Nigeria is set to confront Ivory Coast in the tournament’s final at the Alassanne Ouattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan, on Sunday.
