Air Raid Horror: Russian Strikes Leave Trail Of Death In Ukraine

At least 15 people lost their lives on Saturday as Russian drone and missile strikes ravaged Ukraine, leaving behind widespread destruction of residential buildings and critical energy infrastructure.

Ukraine’s Emergency Services confirmed that a missile strike in the central city of Poltava killed 11 people, injuring 16 others, including four children. Rescue workers toiled through the night, pulling survivors from the rubble while carrying the dead out on stretchers.

Meanwhile, in Kharkiv, one person was killed and four others wounded in a separate drone attack. Three police officers patrolling a village in the northeastern Sumy region also perished in the bombardment.

Both Ukraine and Russia have accused each other of attacking a dormitory in a Ukrainian-held part of Russia’s Kursk region, with reports indicating at least four deaths.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the strikes, urging for increased air defense support. “Every air defense system, every anti-missile weapon, saves lives,” he stated.

Ukraine’s air force reported that Russian forces launched 123 drones and over 40 missiles in the assault, with Ukrainian defense units intercepting 56 drones and diverting 61.
