Among the contenders who have stepped back are Zipporah Samuel Bijeh from the Accord party, David Sunday representing the Zenith Labour Party, Idris Inuwa of the Social Democratic Party, and David Ogah Batholomew from the All Progressives Grand Alliance.

Idris Inuwa, in a press address in Kaduna on Thursday, announced this collective decision, stating, “Considering the outstanding leadership qualities exhibited by Governor Uba Sani in Kaduna State, we are convinced that having the APC at the State House of Assembly will facilitate the process of obtaining projects and other benefits for our people. This is why we have united to support the APC candidate in the upcoming election on Saturday.”

He continued, “Our entry into the electoral contest for the representation of Chikun was driven by the desire to ensure our constituents enjoy the dividends of democracy. Among the candidates, we believe that the APC candidate is well-positioned to deliver on that front.

“We have, therefore, decided to throw our support behind him for victory in the election. Governor Uba Sani has consistently shown an unparalleled commitment to the development of the state and inclusiveness. Aligning our House member with the governor’s political party is crucial for the seamless delivery of democratic dividends in our constituency.
