APC Reconciles FCT Factions, Inaugurates New Leadership

Addressing the media after the reconciliation, APC North Central Zonal Secretary, Yakubu Mohamed, confirmed that previous issues within the FCT chapter had been resolved.

He stated, “Today, the newly reconciled executive of the APC in the FCT was inaugurated by the National Vice Chairman (North), Muazu Bawa Rijau. They are now tasked to return to the FCT Secretariat and begin work. The party is now united, and we are starting on a clean slate to deliver the FCT for the APC.”

Mohamed expressed optimism about the 2026 FCT Council elections, pledging to secure all six area councils and 62 wards for the APC.

He added, “We assure President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that, by the grace of God, come 2027, the APC will fully deliver the FCT. With our renewed unity, we are confident of achieving this goal.”

This reconciliation marks a fresh start for the FCT chapter, which now has an official list of state, local government, and ward executives, ready to strengthen the party’s influence in the region.
