Dr. Ijeoma Arodiogbu, APC’s National Vice Chairman (South East), condemned El-Rufai’s remarks, made during a Monday night interview on Arise TV, describing them as “pathetic.”

El-Rufai had criticized the president’s economic policies, suggesting flaws in their sequencing and implementation. He also claimed that Tinubu, rather than the National Assembly, rejected his ministerial nomination, adding that the president had initially asked him to serve but later changed his stance.

El-Rufai also attacked Ribadu’s appointment as NSA, accusing him of attempting to tarnish his reputation in pursuit of a 2031 presidential bid.

In response, Arodiogbu dismissed El-Rufai’s criticisms, accusing him of being resentful due to unmet personal expectations. He asserted that El-Rufai’s influence on the party was negligible, pointing out that numerous prominent politicians have recently joined the APC.

Arodiogbu further suggested that El-Rufai’s bitterness stemmed from his diminishing influence in Kaduna politics, as many of his supporters have defected to the APC.
