APC Youth Commissioners Rally Behind Tinubu, Vow Youth-Led Transformation
Commissioners of Youth from states governed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) have reaffirmed their support for the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) and pledged to promote youth-driven transformation as a key pillar for national development. The declaration was made in a communiqué issued after the PGF Quarterly Meeting of Honourable Commissioners of Youth, held from August 7 to 8, 2025, and hosted by the Kaduna State Government.
In the statement, the commissioners expressed their commitment to the vision of the PGF under the leadership of Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma. They underscored their loyalty to the Progressive Governors and vowed to uphold principles of transparency, accountability, and performance-focused governance.
The group praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary leadership in harnessing the energy and creativity of Nigerian youth as drivers of national renewal and inclusive development. They unanimously endorsed the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which places young Nigerians at the center of socio-economic transformation.
Further commendation was given to APC governors for their ongoing investments in youth development, highlighting initiatives in skills acquisition, digital infrastructure, entrepreneurship, the creative economy, and sports. These efforts were recognized as critical to fostering a prosperous and secure Nigeria.
The communiqué also acknowledged the combined efforts of the President and governors in tackling pressing issues such as drug abuse, youth restiveness, and unemployment, noting the positive impact on national stability and social inclusion.
To enhance cooperation, the meeting resolved to implement a PGF Unified Inter-State Youth Development Framework aimed at improving cross-state collaboration, aligning policies, and scaling innovative youth empowerment solutions.
The commissioners also committed to integrating digital skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship into state-level youth policies to cultivate a productive and future-ready generation.
Gratitude was extended to Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for hosting the meeting and to the PGF Secretariat for its coordination role. The group pledged to deepen partnerships and intensify collaborative efforts across APC-led states in pursuit of Nigeria’s progress.
