Atiku Pays Surprise Visit To Amaechi, Sparks Political Reactions

The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 election, Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday paid a condolence visit to his running mate, Rotimi Amaechi, at his Abuja residence.

According to Ireporter Online, Atiku arrived at Amaechi’s residence with a delegation of friends and associates to express sympathy over the death of Amaechi’s mother, Dame Mary Oduah Amaechi.

The former Vice President described the passing of Amaechi’s mother as a significant loss to the Amaechi family and those close to them, noting that the visit was aimed at offering support during the period of mourning.

In a statement shared after the visit, Atiku said he was accompanied by associates as they gathered to console the former Rivers State governor following the loss of his beloved mother.

He expressed relief that Amaechi remained strong despite the painful moment, adding that prayers were offered for the family to find comfort and strength.

Atiku said, “I am pleased to have met my brother Amaechi in high spirits, even at this moment of grief. Our prayers are with the family, and may Mama’s soul rest in perfect peace.”

The visit highlights the continued relationship between the two ADC leaders as they prepare ahead of the 2027 general elections.
