According to an insider who spoke to ireporteronline, Umar’s suspension stems from accusations of forming an alliance with Wike.

A letter addressed to the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Sulaiman, revealed that the suspension was officially due to accusations of insubordination.

The party’s state chairman, Sama’ila Burga, stated that following an investigation by the Disciplinary Committee, Umar was found guilty of violating party rules. As of November 25, 2024, Umar is barred from participating in any party activities until further notice.

The letter specified that Umar was issued a query on November 5, 2024, for insubordination, which was reported by his local ward in Beni and signed by the entire Executive Committee. A Disciplinary Committee was formed to investigate the matter, and after evaluating the situation, the committee recommended his immediate suspension in line with the PDP’s constitution.
