Bauchi Speaker Slams Dogara: Stop The Lies Against Governor Bala
Abuja: Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Y. Suleiman, has strongly rebuked former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, over his recent remarks against Governor Bala Mohammed…READ MORE…
Suleiman dismissed Dogara’s statements as “baseless, self-serving, and misleading,” accusing him of attempting to tarnish the image of a leader committed to Bauchi State’s progress. He hailed Governor Bala Mohammed as a visionary statesman whose leadership prioritizes governance over personal interests.
Governor Bala’s Leadership Earned Public Trust
According to Suleiman, Governor Bala’s grassroots appeal and track record of service secured him the people’s mandate—not backroom deals or personal favors. He rejected Dogara’s allegations of betrayal, calling them a distortion of political realities.
Refuting claims that Governor Bala lacked the financial capacity to fund his 2018 campaign, Suleiman emphasized that his victory was fueled by public support and trust, rather than reliance on personal wealth.
“Unlike some politicians who depend solely on their financial strength, Governor Bala’s leadership thrives on inclusivity and transparency,” he stated.
PDP Unity and Governance Achievements
Suleiman also dismissed Dogara’s accusations that Governor Bala failed to support other PDP candidates, affirming that he had consistently worked towards party unity and collective success. He labeled Dogara’s claims as dishonest and reaffirmed the governor’s strong standing within the PDP both at the state and national levels.
Addressing alleged tensions between Governor Bala and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), Suleiman described such claims as politically motivated distractions. He stressed that Governor Bala prioritizes collaboration over conflicts, maintaining his commitment to unity and national development.
Governor Bala’s Transformational Impact
Highlighting the governor’s achievements, Suleiman pointed to infrastructure development, healthcare advancements, and investments in education, stating that Bauchi State had witnessed unprecedented progress under his leadership.
“No amount of political mudslinging can erase Governor Bala’s contributions to Bauchi’s transformation,” he declared.
Call for Constructive Politics
Suleiman urged politicians to focus on constructive dialogue rather than character attacks, warning that Dogara’s approach undermined meaningful governance discussions.
“Politics should be about policies and ideas, not personal vendettas,” he concluded.
He reaffirmed that Governor Bala Mohammed’s leadership and achievements remain undeniable, stating that “no desperate attempt to rewrite history can overshadow his legacy.
