According to reports, the fire broke out around 4 a.m., though the exact cause remains unclear. A resident named Joe speculated that an electrical fault might have triggered the blaze.

“We can’t confirm the cause yet, but an electrical fault is a possibility,” he explained. “Attempts were made to contact the Federal Fire Service and the Federal Capital Territory Fire Service, but the fire was overwhelming.”

Joe further revealed that residents eventually sought assistance from the fire service team at Dunamis Church, who responded to the call around 5 a.m.

“After two hours of concerted efforts, fire service teams from EFCC and Sauka stations successfully extinguished the blaze,” Joe told ireporteronline.

The incident has caused significant losses, with goods worth millions of naira destroyed
