BREAKING: Buhari Reacts To Uzodimma, Ododo’s Election Victory
Former President Muhammadu Buhari has extended congratulations to the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidates in Imo and Kogi states, Senator Hope Uzodimma and Usman Ododo, respectively, for their triumph in the recent Saturday’s elections.

The Independent National Electoral Commission confirmed Uzodimma’s reelection, securing victory across all 27 local government areas of the state. The incumbent Governor secured a second term with a total of 540,008 votes.

In Kogi, APC’s Usman Ododo emerged as the winner with 446,237 votes, as declared by the electoral body. The state Returning Officer, Prof Johnson Urama, announced Ododo’s victory late on Sunday night. The Social Democratic Party candidate, Muri Ajaka, closely followed with 259,052 votes.
Buhari, in a statement by his spokesperson Garba Shehu on Monday, expressed gratitude to the people of both states for reaffirming their confidence in the nation’s largest political party.
“The former President thanked particularly the party leaders and the workers who laboured tirelessly to ensure the victory of Senator Hope Uzodinma for his second term in Imo and Usman Ododo as the new governor of Kogi state. My best wishes to them for their next tenure,” part of the statement read.
