BREAKING: Feud Deepens As Fubara Takes Two Strong Actions ‘Affecting’ Wike In Rivers

The ongoing feud between Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, continues, with the state government redeploying the Clerk of the Rivers House of Assembly, Emeka Amadi, and his deputy, Calistus Ojirika.

The redeployment, effective immediately, was outlined in a circular dated November 20, signed by Inyingi Brown, Director of Service Welfare, on behalf of the Rivers State Head of Service, George Nwaeke.

Emeka Amadi has been reassigned to the State Scholarship Board, while Calistus Ojirika has been moved to the Readers Project.

The redeployment also affected Georgewill Otto, an assistant director at the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, who is now posted to the State Small Town and Rural Water Supply Agency.

Governor Fubara’s spokesperson, Boniface Onyedi, confirmed the redeployment of the officials, which occurred on the same day rival factions of the Rivers assembly held parallel sittings at different locations.

This led to the police taking over the assembly complex with several patrol vehicles and an Armoured Personnel Carrier stationed at the entrance.

The political crisis in Rivers State began in late October after an attempt to impeach Governor Fubara resulted in the bombing of the assembly complex.

The assembly is divided into two factions, one backed by former Governor Wike and another loyal to Governor Fubara. Despite mediation efforts by President Bola Tinubu, the crisis persists.
