The Federal Government has officially declared Monday, October 2nd, as a public holiday in honor of the 63rd independence celebration. This announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the government in Abuja.

He extended his congratulations to all Nigerians, both within the country and in the Diaspora, on this special occasion. Dr. Tunji-Ojo assured the nation of the government’s unwavering dedication to addressing the challenges that the country is currently facing.

He highlighted the warm and welcoming nature of the nation, its abundant human resources, and the richness of its land, which collectively establish Nigeria as the foremost black Nation in the World.

The Minister emphasized that Nigeria will continue to be a source of pride for Africa and a beacon of hope, aligning with the renewed aspirations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
