BREAKING: FRSC Enugu Sector Commander Dies

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the passing of its Enugu State Sector Commander, Corps Commander Franklin Agbakoba.

According to Ireporter Online, Agbakoba died on Thursday, July 30, while receiving medical treatment at the Niger Foundation Hospital in Enugu State. The development was confirmed in a statement released on Friday by the Deputy Corps Commander in charge of Operations in Enugu State, Kyrian Okolo.

The FRSC Enugu State Sector Command described the death of the senior officer as a major loss, expressing sadness over his passing and acknowledging his contributions to road safety operations in the state.

Following his death, the remains of the late sector commander were moved to the Eastern Medical Centre in Enugu, according to the statement issued by the command.

The FRSC did not disclose details about the illness or circumstances that led to Agbakoba’s death.

Until his demise, Agbakoba was recognised for his efforts in promoting collaboration between the FRSC and other security and emergency-response agencies across Enugu State.

The corps also highlighted his role in strengthening partnerships, improving road safety awareness campaigns and supporting initiatives aimed at reducing road accidents in the state.

His death has left colleagues and members of the road safety community mourning the loss of an officer described as committed to improving safety and emergency response services in Enugu.
