BREAKING: Government Declares Seven Days Public Holiday For Civil Servants (SEE DATES)

Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has announced a seven-day public holiday for State Civil Servants.

The Governor made this proclamation during the Year-End cake-cutting ceremony, which was attended by all members of the State Executive Council and other high-ranking government officials at the Government House, Minna.

Governor Umaru Bago specified that the public holiday is designated for the celebration of Christmas and New Year. The holiday is set to commence from Friday, the 22nd of December 2023, and conclude on Monday, the 1st of January 2024.

Additionally, he revealed that food items would be provided to government officials for distribution to the less privileged in their respective local government areas and wards.

“Don’t stay in Minna, go and share food with the poor people in your local governments and wards”,  he directed.
