According to local sources, the gunmen intercepted his vehicle near Ezeani Primary School in Alor. One eyewitness, who chose to remain anonymous due to the sensitive nature of the event, recounted, “At approximately 6:47 PM yesterday (Sunday), the man was driving a Toyota Corolla with the license plate EKY-102GK when the attackers blocked his path.”

“They broke the car’s windows, struck him with the butt of their gun, and forced him into the trunk of their vehicle before fleeing the scene.” The witness noted that the victim’s face was covered in blood, making identification difficult, but indicated that he is a member of the local community.

The abandoned vehicle was later discovered with bloodstains, leading residents to describe the chaotic scene akin to a movie, as they took cover and watched the events unfold.

A video circulating on social media corroborates this account, showing the victim’s abandoned car by the roadside.

On Monday, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, confirmed the abduction and stated that an investigation is underway. He said, “The Command has commenced an investigation into the report of a recovered abandoned vehicle in Alor Community, Idemili South LG. Preliminary information suggests that the victim was taken by unidentified individuals.”

Ikenga added, “Our operatives are collaborating with local residents to secure the victim’s release and apprehend the perpetrators.”
