Nnamdi Kanu’s Brother Exposes Southeast Politicians Over Igboho’s Peaceful Yoruba Nation PetitionKanunta Kanu, the brother of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has criticized Southeast politicians in light of Sunday Igboho’s recent petition for the establishment of a Yoruba Nation, which was submitted to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. Kanunta pointed out that Igboho presented his petition peacefully, without resorting to threats.

He voiced his frustration over the stark difference between Igboho’s non-confrontational approach and the actions of some politicians from the Southeast, who he accused of collaborating with the Nigerian Army and the Department of State Services (DSS) to abduct “Biafran youths.”

In a post on X, Kanunta remarked, “Sunday Igboho submits a petition to the UK Prime Minister to consider the ‘Yoruba Nation’ agitation without any threat. Meanwhile, Southeast politicians are busy kidnapping ‘Biafran youths’ in collusion with @HQNigerianArmy and @OfficialDSSNG for expressing similar demands. #FreeMaziNnamdiKanuNow.”

Naija News reports that Igboho submitted the petition on behalf of Prof. Adebanji Akintoye, leader of the Yoruba Nation movement, which seeks urgent intervention from the UK Prime Minister and his government to support their aim of establishing a country primarily for the indigenous Yoruba people.
