Geh Geh Warns Men: “Trust Women, But Always Protect Yourself

Popular Nigerian financial commentator Geh Geh has advised men to exercise caution in their relationships, stressing that trusting a partner should not prevent them from taking steps to protect their personal interests.

Speaking about relationships and marriage, Geh Geh noted that people can genuinely love and trust each other for several years, but circumstances and emotions can change over time.

He argued that men should not assume that a relationship will always remain the same simply because there is love and mutual trust at a particular point.

The financial commentator cited high-profile footballers who have gone through divorce and subsequently lost significant portions of their wealth and properties as examples.

According to him, such men may have genuinely loved and trusted their partners before their marriages eventually broke down, but their level of trust may have caused them to overlook the need to protect themselves financially.

Geh Geh maintained that relationships can change unexpectedly, urging men to strike a balance between trusting their partners and safeguarding their personal interests.

He said, “You can trust people and still protect yourself. A woman can be good to you for five years and turn against you in the sixth year. That is simply how life can be.

“Those footballers who married women, divorced and lost half of their wealth and properties — do you think they did not love or trust those women? There was a time when there was love and trust between them. But because they trusted each other, some failed to protect themselves and eventually paid the price.”
