Barcola Set To Sign Five-Year Liverpool Deal Until 2031
Bradley Barcola is on the verge of completing a move to Liverpool after the Premier League club reached an agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain for the France international.
According to Ireporter Online, Liverpool have agreed a package worth up to £123 million for the 23-year-old forward, with £106 million expected to be paid as the initial fee and a further £17 million available through performance-related add-ons.
Barcola is expected to sign a five-year contract that would keep him at Anfield until 2031, although some formalities remain before the transfer can be completed.
The two clubs have been finalising the structure of the agreement, with the exchange of documents still required. Barcola is also expected to undergo his medical examination over the weekend.
PSG had previously placed a valuation of around £145 million on the winger, but Liverpool have reportedly negotiated a lower fee for a player they have closely pursued throughout the summer.
If the transfer is completed, Barcola would become Liverpool’s second-most expensive signing, behind Alexander Isak, who joined the club from Newcastle United for a reported club-record £125 million last summer.
Barcola moved to PSG from Lyon in 2023 and has since established himself as an important attacking player for the French champions. His arrival at Liverpool would provide manager Andoni Iraola with another high-quality option in attack.
The proposed transfer could also have implications for Cody Gakpo’s future at Anfield, with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City reportedly monitoring the Netherlands international.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are continuing their search for another winger before the transfer deadline, with Crystal Palace forward Ismaila Sarr reportedly emerging as their preferred target after negotiations with Brighton over Yankuba Minteh became complicated.
Barcola’s impending arrival would represent another major investment by Liverpool as the club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.
