BREAKING: Lawan Confirms New Senate Minority Leader
The Senate on Tuesday confirmed Senator Philip Aduda, as the Minority Leader of the Upper Chamber.
His confirmation followed a letter by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), read during the plenary by the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan.

Senator Aduda (PDP FCT) replaces Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe (Abia South) who left the PDP for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Before now, the Senator representing the FCT was the Minority Whip of the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly.
