The Lagos State Emergency and Rescue team successfully retrieved the body.
This recovery occurred after an extensive two-day search and rescue effort.

According to witnesses along the route, the man was observed jumping from the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge into the lagoon.
The body has promptly been tagged for transportation to the Lagos morgue by the State Environmental Health Management Unit (SEHMU).
