Since the onset of the year, there have been several revisions in the exchange rate, reflecting the dynamic nature of economic conditions. The rates have seen a progression from N952 per Dollar in December to N1,356 per Dollar, followed by subsequent adjustments to N1,413 per Dollar and N1,444 per Dollar, before reaching the current rate of N1,605 per Dollar.

As reported by The PUNCH, an examination of the Nigeria Customs Service portal on Wednesday morning confirmed the implementation of the new exchange rate, signaling its immediate effect on cargo clearance procedures.
