Actor Samuel Olatunji confirmed the filmmaker’s passing, stating that Ajibola died today after battling an undisclosed illness. Ajibola, celebrated as a visionary in Nollywood, was known for blending traditional and digital art forms. A graduate of the New York Film Academy, he held expertise in animation, visual effects, and interactive media. As CEO of Flipsyde Studios Ltd., Ajibola gained acclaim for Hoodrush, Nigeria’s first urban musical film, which won multiple awards, including Best Movie at the 2012 Green Me Film Festival in Germany.
