BREAKING: Surprise Revelation As Police Speaks On Mohbad’s Autopsy Report

The Lagos State Police Command has stated that, despite two months passing since the initiation of the autopsy on the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, they have not received the official autopsy report.

On September 12, 2023, Mohbad’s body was exhumed, and the autopsy process was initiated to determine the cause of the singer’s death, triggering controversies both within Nigeria and internationally.

In response to the situation, the police established an investigative team to unravel the circumstances surrounding the artist’s demise.

While the Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, had previously announced in September that the autopsy had been concluded, the official results were still pending. In October, the then Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, identified prime suspects connected to the singer’s death, revealing that Mohbad exhibited symptoms such as vomiting and developing goosebumps after being injected three times by nurse Feyisayo Ogedemgbe on September 12, 2023. Subsequently, some of the suspects were charged and brought to court.

Last Friday, the state Police Command released Naira Marley (Azeez Fashola) and Sam Larry (Balogun Samson) after they met their bail conditions. Both artists had been arrested in connection with the investigation into Mohbad’s death following the circulation of online videos depicting assault against the late singer.

Responding to inquiries on Monday about the status of Mohbad’s autopsy report, Hundeyin informed The Punch that the command had not officially received the report as of yet.

Hundeyin said, “The autopsy report has not been given to us. Some people have been carrying rumours that it’s ready. It’s one thing for it to be ready, it’s another thing for it to be given to us officially – that we would receive and sign a copy that we have received it. So, we don’t work with rumours, we work with facts.”

He wrote, “It’s been over two months since Mohbad died and his body was taken in for autopsy but yet no result, which is fine but please release his body. That boy needs a befitting burial and to go to rest finally. Naija Police, what’s going on? We need an answer here: where is the result? Where is his body?”
