BREAKING: Tinubu Gives Yakub, One Other New Appointment (DETAILS)

President Bola Tinubu has designated Engr. Bisoye Coker-Odusote as the Acting Director-General (DG) of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).

This appointment for Coker-Odusote is initially set for a 90-day term, starting from August 24, 2023, according to a statement by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale on Tuesday.

After the initial three-month period, a full four-year term as the substantive NIMC DG will commence on November 24, 2023.

Additionally, President Tinubu has instructed that a 90-day pre-retirement leave begin for the outgoing NIMC DG, Engr. Aliyu Aziz, starting from August 24, 2023.

This will lead to his eventual retirement from service on November 24, 2023.

Furthermore, the President has approved the appointment of Hon. Yusuf Buba Yakub as the Director of the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps (DTAC). This appointment follows the expiration of the tenure of the former DTAC Director/CEO, Dr. Pius Osunyikanmi. The statement indicated that Yakub’s appointment takes immediate effect.
