BREAKING: Yakubu Kills Self By Hanging

A solitary middle-aged man, identified as Yakubu Mamza, has taken his own life by hanging in Jimeta, Yola.

The lifeless body of Mamza, residing in an unfinished building within a housing estate, was discovered suspended from a rope tied to a fence rod at his residence, as reported on Friday morning.

Yakubu Mamza, who led a reclusive life and was the father of three daughters, exhibited no apparent signs that might explain the reason for his tragic decision.

This incident occurred just two days after a young lady in the nearby Viniklang area, Girei Local Government Area, reportedly consumed a local poison called Otapiyapiya and lost her life following the death of her partner from beer poisoning.

Sources acquainted with Yakubu Mamza mentioned that he had been living independently since separating from his wife approximately two years ago.

The tragic event unfolded at the 80 Housing Unit, an abandoned housing project in the Yola neighborhood where Mamza chose to end his life. As of Friday afternoon, the Adamawa State Police Command had not provided any official statement regarding the incident.
