Earlier this month, ireporteronline reported that Boavista was willing to sell Onyemaechi for a fee of at least €6 million. Olympiacos will pay €2.5 million for the Nigerian left-back, who joined Boavista from CD Feirense on loan in 2022 before the deal was made permanent due to his impressive performances.

Over 18 league appearances this season, Onyemaechi has proven his value, scoring three goals and providing one assist, showing his ability to contribute both defensively and offensively. He is set to sign a three-and-a-half-year contract with Olympiacos, securing his future with the club.
