Carlo Ancelotti Receives La Liga Suspension
Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has been handed a one-match suspension in La Liga due to a series of disciplinary infractions. Ancelotti received his third yellow card of the season during a surprising 2-1 loss to Valencia on Saturday, leading to his temporary ban from the sidelines.
As a result of this suspension, Ancelotti will be unable to coach his team in their upcoming league match against Deportivo Alaves. This game is critical for Real Madrid as they strive to maintain their standing in the league.
On a brighter note, Ancelotti will be available to lead the team in the highly anticipated first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals against Arsenal on Tuesday. This match is expected to be exciting, given the historical rivalry and the importance of the competition.
Moreover, Ancelotti will have the opportunity to select key players for the Champions League clash. Notable squad members, including Antonio Rudiger, Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., and Dani Ceballos, are all eligible for selection.
Initially, there had been concerns regarding potential suspensions for these players following UEFA’s investigation into their conduct during the post-match celebrations of their dramatic win against Atletico Madrid in the last-16, which was decided by penalties. However, it now appears they are cleared to play.
