Recent insights shared by Boardroom on Instagram unveil the streaming statistics, shedding light on the number of streams it takes for artists to pocket a cool thousand dollars across the top 10 platforms.
Taking the lead is Tidal, positioned as the most artist-friendly platform, requiring just 76,924 streams to translate into a thousand dollars. Apple Music and YouTube Music follow closely behind, with 100,000 and 125,000 streams, respectively, making it rain in the artist’s bank account.
Deezer and Amazon Music follow suit, demanding 156,250 and 250,000 streams, respectively, to hit the coveted thousand-dollar mark. Spotify, a household name in the streaming realm, claims the sixth position, necessitating a rhythm of 303,030 streams for the magic to happen.
The crescendo of the list concludes with Pandora, where 769,231 streams compose the melodic tune of a thousand dollars in rewards.

The study conducted by Statista in Nigeria reveals the crescendo in the music sector’s revenue, from 26 million US dollars in 2014 to a harmonious 34 million dollars in 2018. Projections harmonize with the tune, expecting a sonorous 44 million dollars by 2023.
