Bello’s release came after he met the bail conditions set by the Federal High Court in Abuja, which included a ₦500 million bond and additional requirements. A video showcasing the celebrations quickly surfaced online after his release on Friday evening.
The spokesperson for the Nigerian Correctional Service, FCT Command, Adamu Duza, confirmed that Bello had been freed after fulfilling all bail conditions, while the Controller of NCoS FCT, Ajibogun Olatubosun, ensured the smooth process.
As reported, Bello is facing 16 charges of conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, and unlawful possession of property, along with co-defendants Shuaibu Oricha and Abdulsalam Hudu. All three have pleaded not guilty.
