Speaking at the inaugural session of the 2024 First Plenary Assembly of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria in Abuja, Cardoso expressed optimism about Nigeria’s economic future, attributing it to the government’s reforms.
He emphasized that despite the hardships, the nation’s economy is poised for recovery. With a significant influx of foreign investments and efforts to bridge the gap between official and black market exchange rates, Cardoso believes Nigeria can overcome its economic challenges and transition from being a consumer-driven economy to one driven by domestic production.
