In anticipation of the bye-elections and run-offs scheduled for Saturday, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has issued a ban on security aides accompanying VIPs from entering polling booths. The IGP’s directive, aimed at preventing interference, is part of the broader effort to maintain the integrity of the electoral process. Additionally, restrictions on vehicle movements have been imposed in the 26 states where the bye-elections and run-offs are slated to take place. The move is geared towards creating a conducive atmosphere for citizens to participate in the democratic process without disruptions.
