In a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday, Ombugadu acknowledged the clamor from various groups for him to take on a national role within the PDP. He expressed gratitude for the recognition of his past contributions and leadership qualities.

Ombugadu highlighted the significance of his previous engagements in the gubernatorial contests of Nasarawa State in 2019 and 2023, emphasizing the impact he had made and the appreciation received from party members.

While acknowledging the calls to run for the position of national chairman, Ombugadu stated that he has not yet made a decision to enter the race.
