Adeyanju criticized the decision to expel Ugochinyere, questioning why the outspoken Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and a critic of PDP leadership, remains a party member.

Ugochinyere, who is also the spokesman for the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP), was expelled from the PDP on allegations of gross indiscipline, insubordination, and anti-party activities.

The expulsion was detailed in a letter from the Ideato Local Government Area chapter of the party, dated December 5, 2024, and signed by the LGA Chairman, Hon. ThankGod Okeke, and Secretary Onyebuchi Umeh. The letter indicated that Ugochinyere’s expulsion followed recommendations from a disciplinary committee report dated November 27, 2024, which cited Section 57 (1-4) of the PDP constitution (2017, as amended) as the basis for the action.

In a post on X, Adeyanju remarked, “Ikenga Ugochinyere, the brave one, has been expelled for anti-party activities orchestrated by APC moles within the PDP, while Wike remains a member. The irony is palpable. The PDP is a dead party awaiting its funeral.
