In response to a circulating campaign poster that positioned him as a gubernatorial aspirant with the slogan ‘Take it Back,’ Alake clarified that he has no interest in running for governor now or in the future.
In a statement released by his spokesman, Segun Tomori, Alake expressed his unwavering commitment to his current national assignment as a minister. He disassociated himself from the campaign poster, emphasizing that it lacks his approval, and he has no knowledge of the individuals behind it.
“The poster in circulation does not have his approval as he does not know the people behind it. It is fake and should be discarded,” the statement read.
Alake, busy with the task of reforming and revitalizing the Solid Minerals sector, sees the circulating poster as an unconscionable distraction. The statement highlighted his dedication to making the solid minerals sector a significant revenue earner for Nigeria and a source of high-paying jobs for its citizens.
This denial comes as a response to the misinformation circulating on social media, aiming to clarify Alake’s current priorities and dispel any rumors of his gubernatorial aspirations in Ekiti State.
